in oakland after an eight hour police stand off. the s.w.a.t. team surrounded the home on 26th avenue near international boulevard early this morning. in search of the gunman who they say opened fire a few blocks away. six people came out of the house during the stand off by 8:00 this morning the shooting suspect had surrendered. police were alerted to the system after the shooting victims were driven to the hospital. >>> seven men from sacramento county are recooperating tonight. police say the victims were shot as they were leaving a family gathering in the city of galt at around 10:30. witnesses on the scene tell investigators say saw somebody open fire from a passing car. a neighbor says this is not the first time violence has erupted in his neighborhood. >> crazy. we had some incident about five years ago when they had a shooting in the other corner. >> officials say the shooting may have been gang related. all of the victims are expected to survive. >> investigators are looking into whether reckless driving led to a fiery and fatal crash tonight between a motorcyclist and several car
ktvu's jade hernandez live in oakland where that young boy is being treated tonight and she has new information on just where this gunfire came from. >> reporter: hartsfield-jacksoni cs threw that 7-year-old boy to the hospital earlier this evening. we have whopper video of the helicopter arriving as children as hospital. hospital antioch police a the little boy is going to be all right. police are concerned how the shooter wound this boy. investigator say someone fired multiple gunshots into this home around 4:30 this afternoon during a family bbq. the 7-year-old was visiting with his family from out of town. no one else was hurt. investigators say the shooter fired the rounds from an area near the g street over crossing which can be seen from the backyard area. police have not made any arrest, but since thursday, oakland, richmond and now antioch have shyoung children rushed to children's hospital with gunshot wound. for now, antioch police are investigating this particular incident, but the good news is that little boy is going to be all right. >>> a tearful scene in sonar's miss

are following breaking news out of downtown oakland. police are investigating a fatal shooting. christien kafton is live for us. >> reporter: let me tell you this is a large crime scene. it's spread out over five blocks here in downtown oakland. right now alameda county coroners office is on scene here just about to load the victim into a van to remove him from this scene. there was a very expensive sports car just about seven or eight minutes ago that expensive sports car was towed out of the area. we have video of what the scene looked like earlier. police say they responded to the scene around 3:00 this morning and found the dead man in the street with numerous shell casings around him. and there is another scene just about a block away with more shell casings there and a half block away again that very expensive sports car. it looked like ans aton martin vintage. that sports car is certainly part of this investigation. we saw investigators looking over it with flashlight and trying to get a little bit more information about that. as mike said a couple moments ago, this shooting happened when

a hit-and-run in oakland that killed a bicyclists police have now arrested a woman in connection with last night's crash. officers found the victim in the 2600 block of p era lta street at about 10:20. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. according to the oakland tribune the driver returned to the scene a few hours later and police took her into custody. investigators have not yet released the names of either the victim or the driver. >>> we now know the identity of a man killed in a head on crash yesterday morning on highway 54 in sonol. 46-year-old todd sherr was driving east when he crossed a double yellow line and into the path of another vehicle. sherrwood was pronounced dead at the scene. the driver and two passengers in that second car had minor injuries. >>> we have new information about a triple shooting at a san francisco nightclub. police say the shooting early yesterday morning stemmed from an argument inside the 330 rich nightclub not far from at&t park. authorities have determined one man was shot inside the club. another was shot in front of the club and the thi

on a house in the oakland hills. it happened around 3:30 this morning on oakwood drive, the tree estimated to be 75 foot tall crashed down on the corner of the roof. the downed tree also brought traffic on oakwood drive to a stop. firefighters say they do not know what caused that tree to fall. >>> an investigation is underway into a crash involving a scooter and a santa clara county sheriffs patrol car. the accident happened before 12:30 this morning in the area of west heading street and the alameda. investigators are trying to determine if one of the drivers may have run a red light. two people on the it scooter were taken to the hospital but their injuries are not believed to be serious. the deputy in the patrol car was not hurt. the vehicle sustained damage to the right front bumper. a couple of san francisco police cars will be out of action after an unusual crash. officers were investigating an argument on the 4000 block of mission street. police say pickup truck sideswiped a patrol car, sending it into a second police car. witnesses say officers had to scramble to avoid getting hit
